On Friday, October 9th a group of students gathered in Renaissance High School– all of them decked out in purple. Led by Cheyenne Quilter, Renaissance High School Student Council member and WCA Student Champion, the students had spent the week collecting donations and raising awareness of domestic abuse. A Clothesline Project display hung in the hallway throughout the week and students and staff were encouraged to donate much-needed items from the WCA wishlist.
Finally, on Friday the Student Council invited WCA Outreach Coordinator, Madeline, in to speak with the students about how they could help break the cycle of abuse in their own communities. It is so inspiring to see a school coming together to talk about these issues and we were so impressed by the entire Renaissance High School community! Thank you for all your work!
