Supporting Our Clients: Quilters of Hope

QuiltersWe were so honored and delighted to receive several handmade quilts for our clients from Quilters of Hope, a local quilting guild.

These quilts will be used by our clients in our resident shelters. Quilting itself can be beneficial to those recovering from trauma due to the use of ‘uplifting’ bright colors, the distraction from stressful thoughts or activities, and can even offer skill enhancement in math and geometry. It also increases self-confidence and provides opportunities for social engagement through quilting guilds.

Thank you to these lovely ladies for their hard and skillful work!
