I just finished attending my 40th college reunion. It was a treat to be back on campus and reconnect with classmates that I have not seen in many years. Talking to them and reflecting on my own life path, I was able to share how grateful and privileged I am to be working at the WCA. I was also reminded of the fact that this work was not anything I had in mind when I left college. In fact I was planning to be a veterinarian. However, many times life has a way of taking us in totally different directions than what we had in mind. It took me 33 years, but I know that everything I have gone through in life has led me here. What I take from all this is that while we can make plans, we also need to be open to opportunities that tie into our life experiences and our passion, and if we do that we can find ourselves right where we are meant to be!
