Just as this wonderful spring weather has brought out the flowers and greened up our lawns, the success of our “Hope Needs Space to Grow” capital campaign has allowed us to hold our ceremonial ground breaking in anticipation of the actual construction work to begin on our new shelter in mid to late June!
While we are so close to our finish line (raising $1.8 million) we are looking for your help in raising the last $103,000. You will see us talking about this campaign a lot this month and if you could help us spread the word– that would be AWESOME! Many in our community have mentioned that they did not know about our campaign and this month we would like to change that.
We would like to make sure everyone knows about it and has an opportunity to be part of this new building. This represents the first entirely new building done by the organization since our office at 720 W. Washington was dedicated in 1940 – so we are pretty excited! Doubling our transitional housing capacity initially, with additional capacity to double it again, coupled with new office and storage space, this new building will allow us to serve more clients and to serve them even more efficiently and effectively. Check out the building plans and architects rendering at our special campaign website here.
