Like many of you, we at the WCA have had to figure out new ways of doing and being during these times. This has meant working from home for some of us and changes in the way we deliver services to keep clients and staff safe. Change is never easy—especially change that we did not plan for or expect. But, there is always a silver lining. We have realized the opportunity this has given us to explore new ways to engage with our supporters and those who may utilize our services.

Our goal throughout this period has been to find new ways to connect with our community, broaden our reach digitally, and find creative solutions to continue our education and prevention efforts. You may have seen our new series, “Live at Lunch with the WCA!” This Facebook Live series is one of the ways we’ve been able to reach new audiences, and we’ve loved getting to interact with you there!

Every Monday and Wednesday at noon, a WCA staff member will go live on Facebook to talk about programming, services, the awareness efforts we’re bringing attention to—anything that is important for you, our supporters, and the community at large to know. These are excellent opportunities to hear about why we do the work that we do and how you can contribute.

Maybe you too have recognized that although this time is difficult and our anxieties may be at a peak some days, there are positive changes in your life as well. Look for the silver lining during these times, and find ways to practice gratitude for the little things that you want to continue as we move forward.

If you are interested in having a virtual presentation done for your group, business, etc., please contact our Outreach Team at outreach@wcaboise.org. And don’t forget to catch “Live at Lunch” Mondays and Wednesdays at noon on Facebook!
