PhilanthropyFiles PhotoLast week I was reminded of just how caring and compassionate our community is. There are hundreds of incredible nonprofits in the Treasure Valley that, every day, make our lives healthier, safer, happier, and more informed. They help us be more curious, entertain us, make us think, help our children learn, connect us with healthy options, let us explore possibilities and help our neighbors achieve their highest potential. For many of us, they give a richness and depth to our lives. For the least fortunate of us, these nonprofits give hope – for themselves and their children.

The WCA works with people who are often at the lowest points in their lives. They face challenges and choices that many of us cannot even come close to imagining. Yet, our clients have hope. I’ve heard from many of our former clients that the support of this community lifts them up and lets them dream of a better future.

Hope would not exist without the support, compassion and philanthropy of the members in our community. People like you, for whom I am grateful.
