I volunteer in “The Shop” at the WCA– the best thrift shop in Boise! I assist in the merchandising, and organization of items in the shop along with receiving and processing donations from our generous donors. I also greet and assist customers… And I’m a personal shopper occasionally.

How long have you been a volunteer?

I’ve been a volunteer with the WCA for about a year now. This past December I had an opportunity to help with the Christmas Project for one day a week along with the two days a week in “The Shop.”

What do you find most rewarding about your work at the WCA?

To be part of this organization is tremendously rewarding. The dedication, professionalism, and vision of the WCA is beyond compare.

How have you changed or grown as a person through your work here?

When someone listens, or stretches out a hand, says a word of encouragement, and attempts to understand, extraordinary things begin to happen. I am grateful and humble.
