What do you do in your volunteer role at the WCA?

I work in childcare at Serena’s House and at the downtown location.

How long have you been a volunteer?

A little over one month.

What do you find most rewarding about your work at the WCA?

Being able to do something I really enjoy for folds who really can use my help. Caring for little children just gives me a warm glow and they are all so dear—each one is unique.

How have you changed or grown as a person through your work here?

It has given me a very positive focus. I grow in happiness when I am with little ones—whether it’s calm or crazy, it increases my own self-worth! It is good to be needed.
