What do you do in your volunteer role at the WCA?
I volunteer between two and four hours a week at the front desk helping out the admin team. I have been helping on the admin team since fall of 2014. I really enjoy getting to know everyone in the office. It’s a great place to spend time and learn a lot about the Women’s and Children’s Alliance.
I also help out on special volunteer opportunities, such as the Christmas Sponsorship. I have also been a WCA Ambassador since December 2014, and I was able to participate as a table host at our last Hope Breakfast.
How long have you been a volunteer?
Since 2014
What do you find most rewarding about your work at the WCA?
The most rewarding thing about serving as a Women’s and Children’s Alliance Ambassador and volunteer is being a part of an organization that affects my community in such a positive way.
How have you changed or grown as a person through your work here?
I am working on my masters degree in Social Work right now through University of Southern California, and I’m appreciative of all I’m learning through my involvement with Women’s and Children’s Alliance as I embark on a career in social services.
